Oleochemicals

Oleochemicals are chemicals derived from naturally sourced fats. They are analogous to petrochemicals derived from petroleum. Oleochemical products under PGEO Group are palm-based oleochemicals produced by its subsidiaries Natural Oleochemicals (NatOleo), Natural Soap (NatSoap) and associate company Dubois-Natural Esters (DNE) in a manufacturing complex situated at Pasir Gudang, Malaysia. Having one of the largest oleochemical plants in Malaysia, we have been serving the global market for more than 25 years with uncompromising quality of oleochemical products. Oleochemicals are widely used in cosmetics, pharmaceutical and skin care products, laundry detergent and day-to-day personal care items such as toothpaste, soap bars, shower cream and shampoo.

Soybean Meal

Soybean meal is a by-product of soybean crushing. It is a good source of protein and energy with high fiber level which makes it an excellent animal feed especially for poultry farming. It is a widely and commonly used feed ingredient in local and international markets. It is delivered in bulk via lorries or packed in bags for easier handling and distribution.

Palm Kernel Expeller

PGEO Group operates several palm kernel crushing plants across Peninsular and East Malaysia. We crush one third of the total palm kernels in Malaysia annually. Palm kernel expeller is a by-product of the crushing and expelling of oil from palm kernel. This product is known for its balanced energy and protein, high fibre, good level of residual oil and high in palmitic acid. For many years, it has been used in compound feeds for adult ruminant livestock such as dairy cow, beef cow and sheep.

Calcium Salt

Volac Wilmar Feed Ingredients Sdn Bhd is a joint venture company between PGEO Group and Volac International Limited. It produces high quality animal feeds from palm fatty acid distillate and palmitic acid, which are proven to increase dairy cows' milk production significantly, as well as help improve cows’ fertility and increase milk fat. Volac International Limited is a market leader in Europe and a reputable player in the specialist areas of animal nutrition, feeding systems, health care and feed ingredients. These feed ingredients are specially designed to meet the needs of modern dairy cows for healthy and high performance. Megalac, for example, provides dairy cows with more energy for milk production than any other feed ingredients. Megalac is the only rumen bypass fat that has a proven, measured and the highest NEL (Net Energy for Lactation) value.

Steel Drums

The steel drum manufacturing plant was initially set up in Pasir Gudang, Johor, to produce steel drums for PGEO Edible Oils Sdn. Bhd.'s own edible oil packing. It is currently one of the major steel drum manufacturers in the southern region of Peninsular Malaysia. 210-liter steel drums produced are also sold to lubricant and chemical companies for their packaging purposes. All drums are manufactured under an effective system of testing, supervision and control. Thus, customers can be assured that every drum is of high quality and safe for utilisation.

Fertiliser

PGEO Group produces good quality fertiliser mainly for palm oil plantations under its subsidiaries Wilmar Fertilizer Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. and Agrifert group of companies in Malaysia.

Chemical Bulking Installation

PGEO Group operates chemical bulking installation facilities in Pasir Gudang Port under its subsidiary Wilmar Tank Terminals Sdn. Bhd. (WTT). Its customers include multi-national petrochemical companies and traders. It specialises in storage and handling of toxic and corrosive chemicals, monomer, solvent and other chemicals.

WTT offers the following services:

Storage for bulk liquid products

Loading location for vessels and trucks

Connection to pipeline infrastructure

Additional services (e.g. heating, cooling, blending, drumming)

Temporary storage as part of supply chain movement

Biodiesel

PGEO Group produces high quality palm oil-based biodiesel in its biodiesel plants in Pasir Gudang, Johor for local petroleum companies as well as for export market. The plant is ISCC-certified and adheres to the stringent requirement of EN 14214 and MS standard.
